Allocator (Accessories)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Pre-allocates merchandise through use of allocation system for Accessories Department; ensures completion of allocations prior to accessory receipt in warehouse.
  2. Manages automated replenishment system for Accessories; ensures appropriate initial parameters are set and reviews weekly through analysis of results; manages eligibility by store and by style.
  3. Manages current season inventory through transfer requests to stores; performs analysis and follow up to ensure store compliance.
  4. Manages consolidation of past seasons' merchandise by transfer to consolidation stores and Factory Outlets.
  5. Communicates on regular basis with store management through telephone calls and visits to local stores; follows up on issues raised and escalates where necessary.
  6. Performs a variety of style request and housekeeping functions as required and performs other related tasks and assignments as required including assisting with Corporate sales, special order requests and the like.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous store experience, preferably at the management level and previous work experience in retail fashion allocations;
  • Equivalent of secondary school graduation diploma;
  • Excellent knowledge of retail math with high attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Curious mindset with strong administrative, analytical and problem solving skills required;
  • Proficient in personal computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills with strong command of English required to deal effectively with internal and store contacts;

Bilingual Customer Service Representative

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Director of Sourcing - Apparel

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Researches vendor base expansion in existing and new manufacturing countries. Analyzes risks, costs and benefits. Appraises sources of competitive advantage and builds the most effective Vendor Matrix.
  2. Develops a Vendor Placement and Production Strategy. Plans and assigns vendors for spring, fall and winter style development projects. Balances vendor portfolios for order placements to create the most effective Purchasing Strategy. Builds and maintains visibility of vendor capacity at all times for risk and capacity management.
  3. Directs and oversees price and delivery negotiations process. Conducts final negotiations with vendors for order confirmation discussions with Chief Sourcing Officer and Chief Merchandising Officer. Ensures achievement of Company planned margins and IMU (initial markup) goals.
  4. Collaborates with vendors, design and merchandising teams and directs overseas teams to source and develop new styles and products. Identifies new opportunities and ensures achievement of good quality standards.
  5. Monitors production progress and execution, ensuring the most effective merchandise flow. Resolves production and delivery issues and monitors quality of garment receipts for future improvements.
  6. Appraises and audits vendor performance. Analyzes and identifies risk factors, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
  7. Organizes meetings with new and existing vendors to discuss and appraise market situations, identifies business opportunities and sources new styles and products. Arranges new sample presentations for Chief Merchandising Officer and merchandising teams.
  8. Oversees departmental operations. Interviews, hires and trains new employees. Sets Key Performance Indicators for each team member, conducts performance appraisals, creates staff development plans and administers disciplinary action when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Equivalent of a post-secondary diploma/degree in international business development, buying or fashion-related discipline combined with 10 years' related progressive work experience preferably in sourcing/buying/supply chain management within the apparel industry with current knowledge of global Asia/Indonesia manufacturing including Pakistan, India and China; knowledge of leather is preferable

Raw Material Sourcing Manager (Accessories)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Responds to the Accessories team requests for sample leather for development and testing purposes. Manages and follows-up on sample and bulk orders of accessories leather purchases with tanneries.
  2. Conducts leather inspections and compiles leather quality reports for evaluation of finished accessories leather shipments.
  3. Evaluates the overall quality and chemical compliance of finished leather purchases. Recommends solutions to quality issues which arise in the production process or in imported merchandise.
  4. Monitors and maintains accurate data related to finished accessories leather purchases and department files.
  5. Audits finished leather payment package, obtains payment authorization and maintains vendor's payment schedule to ensure account is in good standing.
  6. Compiles quality values of finished leather shipment and provides reports on the overall performance for further reference in finished leather purchase and raw material bookings.
  7. Researches market trends, monitors developments in the accessories leather market, maintains skin library and collaborates with the Accessories Product Developer and Merchandising Team to support new raw material developments in accessories.
  8. Utilizes research results to source accessories leather globally and expand the supplier base to satisfy the demands from the accessories team. Validates and establishes the tannery matrix.
  9. Negotiates price and establishes skin attributes with tanneries to facilitate leather purchases. Adjusts and monitors the finished accessories leather purchases against the budget set according to business plan.
  10. Supervises the Raw Material Sourcing Administrator. Set up priorities and explains objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Equivalent of a post-secondary diploma/degree in business, buying or tannery-related discipline combined with 5-7 years' related work experience preferably in sourcing/buying/quality assurance within the accessories leather industry
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. PowerPoint is an asset
  • Fluent, clear oral and written English communication skills are essential; ability to communicate in a second language is an asset
  • High level of energy and physical fitness to handle materials weighing on average 10kg on a repetitive basis
